Terms of service

Last updated 24 October 2026. Draft: to be reviewed by a lawyer before it is published. Text in [square brackets] is still to be filled in.

These terms govern your use of the movl service run by movl (“we”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use it.

What movl is

movl is an account server and relay that connects you to hosts: computers you own or control that run your agents. Agents, conversations and files live on those hosts. We provide sign-in, the host registry and the relay that carries traffic between your devices and your hosts.

Your account

Hosts and agents

Sharing

You may give other people access to a host as a viewer or editor. You are responsible for who you invite. A viewer sees everything an editor sees, including past conversations and job output. You can change a role or remove a person at any time, and the change takes effect immediately.

Acceptable use

Do not use movl to break the law, to attack or probe other systems, to send spam or malware, to overload or disrupt the service, to get around rate limits or security controls, or to access hosts or accounts that are not yours. We may limit or suspend accounts that do.

Your content

You keep all rights to your agents, conversations and files. Because they are stored on your hosts, we do not receive a copy and we claim no licence to them. While content passes through our relay we handle it only to deliver it.

Availability

We work to keep the service running, but it is provided as is. It may be unavailable, change or be interrupted. Hosts keep your data, so an outage of our server does not delete it, but you may not be able to reach a host from another device until it is back.

Ending your use

You can stop at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms, or the service itself, with reasonable notice where we can. When an account ends we remove the server-side records described in the privacy policy.

Warranty and liability

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or lost profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to [the amount you paid us in the last 12 months, or a fixed amount for free accounts]. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you before it takes effect. If you keep using the service afterwards, you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine, and its courts have jurisdiction, except where consumer law gives you the right to use your local courts.
